The Information Technology and Communications
Engineering Sectional Committee of the IESL organizes
one of its annual competitions; the “IDEA Challenge”, to
promote software development among undergraduate students
and to recognize their talents as the next generation of professionals
in the country. So now it’s time to show your colours to the
whole country and make your institution proud.
If you are enthusiastic about Android mobile application,
eager to learn more about mobile application development and
want to show your talents to the whole country by being a winner,
then IDEA challenge is for you. Come up with an innovative IDEA,
develop your own mobile application and become a winner of
“IDEA Challenge 2018”.
Competition Rules
The competition is open to all school students/ undergraduates, individually or as a group.
A group can have up to a maximum of 5 members.
Any number of groups can represent a school/ university.
The challenge in 2018, “Preventing Dengue” expects the students to develop
Android mobile applications that lead to make awareness of Dengue and
take measures to prevent its occurrence (for example, keeping track of
where garbage piles up or stagnant water is present) and spreading (for
example, by informing where infections are happening).
Awards and Prizes
All the students who complete the course successfully will be awarded a
Certificate of Course Completion by the IESL.
The winners would be awarded medals and certificates and the school producing
the winners will receive ICT gifts. The winning teams would be given the
opportunity to display their entries at Techno 2018 – the Annual Engineering
Exhibition organized by IESL held in October 2018 where the winners would also
be awarded prizes.
